A few area flowers

A few area flowers, which no doubt will be a recurring theme of mine as I love getting up close and seeing the beauty in the fine details. (Click on the photo's to see them full screen)

Lantana

This is a confederate rose that bloomed white. Since they usually come in pink I just had to capture it on camera.

This is a tiny little flower on some weed plant growing in the yard. I used a macro lens on my Adroid to capture.

This is a macro shot of a very tiny flower that grows on the sweet olive trees.

A mosquito on one of the tiny flowers on a Lantana flower.

Commonly called a Banana Magnolia here in Acadiana. We love the fragrance. Seems to be strongest in the evenings when sunset is not far off.

These beautiful flowers were on water lilies down around Dulac, La.

These Mimosa flowers always bring me back to my childhood. Seemed most homes had one or two in their yards. Back then you could find "inch worms" making silk on the branches. It was fun the catch them and let them inch along our fingers.

The end of the season for these Crepe Myrtles.
